Pain on the front of knee, in and around the kneecap is broadly defined as the patellofemoral pain syndrome. Overuse of the knee joint is one of the most common reason of the knee pain, for example excess exercise or sudden increase in the usual exercise routine. 2. Usage of malaligned footwear which in turn leads to change in the alignment of the knee leading to pain in knee joint 3. Sudden jerk can also lead to muscle tightness
